April 18–20, 2026 — The 8th International Conference on Information Science, Electrical and Automation Engineering (ISEAE 2026) was successfully held in Daqing, China, a major hub for the country’s petroleum industry. The conference was co-organized by Northeast Petroleum University and Harbin University of Science and Technology, with the Artificial Intelligence Energy Research Institute of Northeast Petroleum University and the School of Automation at Harbin University of Science and Technology serving as the executive organizers. Co-organizers included the School of Electrical and Information Engineering at Northeast Petroleum University, the Heilongjiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Optimization Control and Intelligent Analysis for Complex Systems, and the Heilongjiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Networking and Intelligent Control. ScienceNet.cn acted as the media supporter. The conference took place in a hybrid format, attracting over 300 university faculty members, master’s and doctoral students, with more than 3,000 people watching the live stream.
2026年4月18日至20日，第八届信息科学、电气与自动化工程国际学术会议（ISEAE 2026）在中国石油重镇——大庆市成功召开。会议由东北石油大学、哈尔滨理工大学联合主办，东北石油大学人工智能能源研究院、哈尔滨理工大学自动化学院承办，东北石油大学电气信息工程学院、黑龙江省复杂系统优化控制与智能分析重点实验室、黑龙江省网络化与智能控制重点实验室协办，科学网为媒体支持单位。会议以线上线下相结合方式举行，300余名高校教师和硕博生参会，3000余人观看了直播。
The conference featured 11 keynote presentations, 19 poster sessions, and 32 oral presentations, covering cutting-edge fields such as electrical engineering, automation technology, intelligent control, and information processing.
会议围绕电气工程、自动化技术、智能控制与信息处理等前沿方向，共安排主旨报告11场、海报展示19场、口头报告32场。

The conference officially opened on the morning of April 19. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Kang Shouqiang, Vice President of Northeast Petroleum University. Addresses were delivered by Professor Dong Hongli, President of Northeast Petroleum University, and Professor Wang Zidong from Brunel University of London, who also served as the conference chair. A group photo of all participants was taken following the ceremony.

During the keynote session, renowned scholars from both domestic and international institutions delivered presentations, including Professor Wang Zidong (Brunel University of London), Professor Cai Bogen (Beijing Jiaotong University), Professor Dong Xuzhu (Wuhan University), Professor Han Qinglong (Swinburne University of Technology, online), Professor Wu Yuhu (Dalian University of Technology), Professor Shen Dong (Renmin University of China), Professor Xie Hongtao (University of Science and Technology of China), and Professor Liu Chengju (Tongji University).
In addition, Professor Su Shunfeng (National Taiwan University of Science and Technology), Professor Akshay Kumar Rathore (National University of Singapore), and Professor Armando Walter Colombo (Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences, Germany) also delivered keynote presentations online.

Session 3 was chaired by Dr. Mu Shujuan from Northeast Petroleum University, with Professor Hou Nan from Northeast Petroleum University and Associate Professor Jia Chaoqing from Harbin University of Science and Technology serving as judges. An additional online Session 4 was also arranged.

The closing ceremony was hosted by Professor Huo Fengcai, Dean of the Artificial Intelligence Energy Research Institute at Northeast Petroleum University. Three major awards were announced and presented: the Best Paper Award, the Best Poster Award, and the Best Oral Presentation Award (four recipients each). These award-winning achievements not only demonstrated solid research foundations and innovative academic perspectives but also reflected cutting-edge advancements in related fields and the research potential of young scholars.

During the conference, some participants visited the "Daqing Spirit Education Exhibition Hall" at Northeast Petroleum University to gain firsthand insight into the university's longstanding tradition and contemporary significance of upholding the Daqing Spirit in education and academic cultivation.
